Dear 7th Grade Parents,
We hope this message finds you and your families doing well! Below you will find two important notices regarding Life Teen and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Life Teen Welcome Luau
Sunday, June 1 after the 6 p.m. Life Teen Mass
This coming Sunday, June 1, your son or daughter is officially able to join our Life Teen Youth Ministry program! From that point forward, they are able to attend any of our Life Teen events (not just the Middle School ones). Our full calendar of events can be found online at LifeTeenSMASH.com, and we will be announcing our summer events in just a few weeks. We hope they will join us for Life Teen Mass this Sunday at 6 p.m. and for our annual Welcome Luau immediately following Mass behind the Parish Center. There will be a cookout, games, and plenty of opportunities to make friends and meet new people! Hawaiian shirts are strongly recommended!
Sacrament of Confirmation (Fall 2025)
We are so glad that your child will be a part of our first group of 8th graders to be Confirmed since the Archdiocese of Boston lowered the age for the reception of Confirmation last year. Due to such a large number of candidates, we will have Confirmation services on multiple days/times.
Saturday, September 27 at 10 a.m.
Saturday September 27 at 12 p.m.
Sunday, September 28 at 1 p.m.
(Rehearsal for these Confirmations will be on Thursday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m.)
Saturday, October 4 at 10 a.m.
Saturday, October 4 at 12 p.m.
Sunday, October 5 at 1 p.m.
(Rehearsal for these Confirmations will be on Thursday, October 2 at 6:30 p.m.)
You will have the opportunity to select the date and time that works best for you and your family when you fill out the Confirmation Registration Form at the bottom of this message. Please note that there are a limited number of spaces available for each of the Confirmations, and times are assigned on a first come, first served basis. In the beginning of September you will receive more information from us specific to the Rite of Confirmation.
In order to complete the registration for Confirmation, you will need to know your child's intended Confirmation name, sponsor, and Baptismal information. Please be sure to review the attached document, which outlines the requirements for choosing a Confirmation name and sponsor. As was discussed at Edge this past year, the sponsor must be at least 16 years old, a confirmed Catholic who regularly practices their faith, and cannot be a parent of the Confirmation candidate.

We are so excited to welcome your son or daughter into Life Teen and to continue to walk with them through Confirmation and beyond. Confirmation is not an ending or graduation, but rather a beginning and initiation into a life of faith. We believe that the change in age for Confirmation coinciding with their entrance into Life Teen is a perfect transition as they continue to grow in their faith. We hope and pray that your child takes advantage of all that Life Teen has to offer!
